Du hast mich ein wenig mit xedit verwirrt. xedit ist doch kein in XFCE integrierter Texteditor, wie ich in Wiki grad lese. Kenne mich leider mit XFCE nicht aus. Warum nutzt du Mousepad nicht?

Linux muss man sehr selten neu starten. XFCE hätte man aber schon mal neu starten sollen.

Ne, ich schreibe diesen Beitrag in Firefox, aber unter KDE. Keine Ahnung, woran das bei dir liegt.

Ja. Leider aber nur unter KDE. Prüfe erstmal, ob XFCE irgendwelche Einstellungen für Touchpad bietet. Wenn nicht, kann man den Touchpad theoretisch per Hand konfigurieren. Dazu maß man nach dieser Anleitung http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Touchpad eine Datei namens "11-x11-synaptics.fdi" in "/etc/hal/fdi/policy/" erstellen. Leider ignoriert bei mir Suse alles, was in dieser Datei steht. Vielleicht hast du mehr Glück, hier ist der Inhalt der Beispieldatei aus Ubuntu:

Dann gibt es noch gsynaptics. Leider kann man damit keine zwei-Finger-Geste einstellen.
