Ich habe alles probiert. Mit der firefox -P und der Änderung der Rechte kann ich Firefox starten, die Lesezeichen sind aber nicht dabei. Die Hilfe von Firefox habe ich auch durchgesehen.
Könnte man ein Profil so einfach hin- und herschieben so wären gespeicherte Kennwörter nutzlos.

Warum startest Du firefox als root?
Dann wird das Root Profil aus /root als default angezeigt!Zeige noch einmal als User ausgeführt:

Natürlich kann man das. Das Thema hatten wir erst vor kurzem. Die alte .mozilla im versteckten Ordner löschen und die neue einfach rüber kopieren. Dauer etwa 10 Sekunden. Das ist alles.P.S. Das Problem ist, das immer mit dem Root-Account herumgepfuscht wird. Mal zur Klärung. Für alles, was ich innerhalb des /home tue, brauch ich keinen Root-Account.
@Berichtigung hieß früher einmal "root-tut-nicht-gut". Der Name ist Programm! Root wird erst genutzt, wenn ich mit dem User-Account nicht mehr weiter komme oder wenn mir die Software mitteilt, das ich einen Root-Zugriff benötige. Also gewöhne dir ab, ständig mit Root zu arbeiten. -

Mal noch eine kleine Betrachtung über Passwörter in Firefox. Auf die Passwörter kann keiner zugreifen. Was also soll schlimm daran sein, wenn ich die Datei, in der die Passwörter gespeichert sind, irgendwohin kopiere? Um das mal auszuweiten und deine Passwörter nach deinem Verständnis zu schützen müsstest du den Rechner vom Netz nehmen, ausschalten, in einen Betonblock gießen und auf dem Grunde des Marianengrabens in etwa 11 km Meerestiefe versenken. Dann sind deine Passwörter sicher. Ich kenne allerdings Leute, die der Meinung sind, das der Rechner nur sicher außerhalb unseres Sonnensystems aufgehoben wäre. Dich schützt vor Passwortklau nur deine Unwichtigkeit.
Meine Passwörter bewahre ich nur in meinem Kopf auf. Das nur mal am Rande. Passwörter haben auf dem Rechner nichts zu suchen. Meine Meinung. -
