@Sauerland wenn ich die xorg.conf neu erstellen will kommt im init 3 oder init 1 folgende Ausgabe:

Habe den Beitrag von thomas23 gelesen, nur er führte nicht zum Erfolg!
Auch mit gelöschter xorg.conf nicht!!

Jetzt muss die generierung der xorg.conf vernünftig durchlaufen, damit die entsprechenden Werte eingetragen werden können.

Es ist ja auch schon spät, vielleicht werde ich mich laufe des Tages nochmal dran begeben wenn es die Zeit zulässt.

Habe krandrtray gestartet damit kann ich jetzt auch meine gewünschte Auflösung einstellen.
Aber nach einer Abmeldung oder Restart des X-Servers bin ich wieder im 1024x768 Modus!
Meine Einstellung werden nicht Systemweit übernommen, die Anmeldung ist dann wieder im 1024 Modus!
xrandr zeigt dann auch die 1280x1024 nicht mehr an!

Dank der Hilfe bin ich schon ein ganzes Stück weiter!!

Mit folgendem Befehl habe ich die Auflösung hinzugefügt:

xrandr --addmode VGA1  "1280x1024"


Jetzt ergibt xrandr:

Aber wie setze ich die Auflösung fest?
Nach einem Neustart des X-Servers sind die Einstellung wieder verloren!

ich kann leider nur max. 1024x768 60Hz einstellen.

Ich habe ein Problem das ich mit OpenSuse 12.2 im KDE nur eine Auflösung von 1024x768 bekomme.
Mit Google und Co komme ich auch nicht weiter um auf 1280x1024 zu gehen! Mein Bastel-PC ist zwar schon älter aber Windoof XP schafft es auch noch auf 1280x1024 32bit!

Wie oben zu sehen ist eine Auflösung von 1280x1024 möglich aber wie soll ich das einstellen.
Mit SAX3 ist auch nur max. eine Auswahl von 1024x768 24bit möglich.
Wer kann mir helfen damit ich die höhere Auflösung fahren kann???
