Hallo zusammen,

nachdem gestern kurzzeitig einige Video-DVDs gelesen werden konnten, ist das heute schon wieder nicht der Fall.
Deshalb muss ich dieses Thema nochmal reaktivieren.

Nochmal zur Situation: Auf einem HP Compaq 6720s Notebook ist OpenSuse 12.3. installiert.

Mit dem DVD-Laufwerk können Daten-DVDs und Audio-CDs gelesen werden.
Film-DVDs werden jedoch nicht erkannt (oder nur sehr vereinzelt in wenigen Fällen).

Das DVD-Laufwerk versucht die DVD zu lesen, aber erkennt sie scheinbar nicht.

Vorher war auf dem Notebook ein vorinstalliertes Windows Vista Betriebssystem, mit dem alle Film-DVDs abgespielt werden konnten.

Ich habe jetzt alle zuvor genannten Ratschläge nach bestem Wissen umgesetzt.

Ich würde mich sehr freuen, wenn mir noch jemand weiterhelfen könnte.
Als Anfänger weiß ich nämlich nicht mehr, was ich jetzt noch machen kann.

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe vlc und smplayer nochmal entfernt und neu installiert.

Außerdem habe ich die von Kanonentux empfohlene w32codec-all hinzugefügt.

Jetzt können alle DVDs geladen werden, auch wenn es ziemlich lange dauert.

Vielen Dank für Eure Hilfe und Euch allen noch ein frohes Osterfest.

ok, eine DVD wurde jetzt erkannt. Mit MPlayer konnte ich sie auch abspielen.

Andere DVDs werden einfach nicht geladen.
Ich lege sie ein. Das Laufwerk versucht die ganze Zeit zu lesen, aber es tut sich nichts.

Alle DVDs sind original, lauffähig und funktionieren auch am Fernsehen.

Ich habe die Sammlung installiert. libdvdcss2 ist installiert.
Ich habe neu gestartet.

Der versteckte Ordner

besteht aber immer noch nicht.

Die DVD wird genaus wenig erkannt, wie zuvor.

also, der Ordner ist nicht da und libdvdcss scheint nicht installiert zu sein.
wenn ich mit zypper suche finde ich das Paket aber auch nicht.

Ich bin da noch totaler Anfänger. Wäre schön, wenn mir jemand sagen könnte, was ich da genau installieren muss.

Eine Audio-CD und eine Daten-DVD konnten übrigens gelesen werden.

Wenn noch jemand einen Ratschlag weiß, wäre ich ihm sehr verbunden.

Ich konnte leider auch über Google nichts Hilfreiches finden.
