    Hallo,


    nein, das Zeitlamentato war nur Polemik. Es ist einfach so, dass ich nicht verstehe, dass Einstellungen des Nutzers vom System scheinbar ignoriert werden. Das ist ok so.
    Ich bedaure, dass ich mit Linux scheinbar nich zurecht komme, finde ich die Idee die dahinter steckt, doch eigentlich gut.
    Aber ich habe noch andere Hobbys.

    Danke für eure Antworten. Leider bin ich damit nicht weiter gekommen.
    Also werde ich als nächstes versuchen, einen Plug'N'Play-Stick zu besorgen.
    Ichhab einfach keine Geduld, mich damit zu befassen. Im 21. Jahrhundert muss ein PC wie ein Fernseher funktionieren. Ohne, dass ich hier und da etwas drehen und schrauben muss.


    Hab ich doch eben festgestellt, dass Einstellungen an Datum und Zeit keinerlei Nachhaltigkeit haben. Wenn ich einstelle, dass Datum und Zeit, sowie die Zeitzone automatisch ermittelt werden sollen, ist das nach einem Neustart hinfällig.
    Das kann ich nicht akzeptieren.


    Also nichts für ungut und noch eine tolle Zeit.

    Hallo zusammen,


    nachdem meiner Tochter zum wiederholten Male das Fenster-System (Win... 7) verseucht war, sie aber einen zuverlässigen Rechner braucht, haben wir uns entschlossen, die Daten zu löschen und openSUSE 13.1 (32 Bit) mit Gnome auf einem BenQ joybook R55VU zu installieren. Alles war gut und hat toll funktioniert. Sie hat zum Gück schon vorher mit LibreOffice gearbeitet, so dass keine Probleme zu erwarten waren...
    Der Zugang zum WWW mit LAN und W-LAN geht auch ohne Probleme.
    Doch mit diesem Webstick (Medionmobile Webstick S 4113) geht es nicht.
    Der Webstick blinkt zwar regelmäßig, wenn er in einem der 4 USB-Slots steckt (in allen). Aber er wird vom System offenbar nicht erkannt. Laut Medion gibt es keinen Treiber für Linux zu diesem oder einem anderen Medion-Webstick (nur Win und OsX).
    Ach so: Wir haben es ausprobiert: unter Windows funktioniert der Webstick.


    Jetzt meine Frage: Kann man da etwas machen - wenn ja wie?
    Oder wenn nicht: Gibt es Websticks mit Linux-Treibern?
    Danke für eine Antwort und/oder Installationsanleitung.
    Mit Shell-Skripting kenne ich mich ein wenig aus.
