Schließe den 640 x 480 Monitor an und poste
Hat der Monitor noch irgendwelche Einstellungsmöglichkeiten? Schalter oder ähnliches zum Einstellen im Menü?
Der Monitor hat zwar Knöpfe, aber nichts, was hier weiter helfen würde.

So wie ich das verstehe, findet xrandr den Monitor, hwinfo aber nicht?
Ich habe jetzt auch mal mit einem anderen 2K Monitor von Dell getestet, der schnurrt einwandfrei, auch im Dual-Monitor Betrieb.
Irgendwas stimmt also mit dem 4K nicht.
Ich habe eben noch versucht, mit xrandr den 4k Mode zu setzen, aber ohne Erfolg.
Bin ratlos. Kann das am Treiber liegen?
Ich glaube bald, ich kaufe mir einfach einen neuen Monitor. Der 4K ist immerhin schon 8 Jahre alt.
