Nur der Vollstänigkeit halber: auch eine Neuinstallation mit neuer Festplatte scheitert, egal ob ich das image vom Stick oder DVD lade, es bleibt immer hängen.

und dann tut sich nichts mehr. Zum Glück startet noch meine Leap 15.0, welches ich noch auf meiner alten Festplatte gefunden habe, denn sonst wäre ich ganz aufgeschmissen.... So kann ich mir wenigstens noch neu Installations-images herunterladen.
Dann versuch ich mal mein Glück mit einem Update und ansonsten muss ich wohl mal die SSD checken/erneuern.

Kurze Suche nach "BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: 0000000000003508" sagt mir, dass es wohl ein Fehler im Kernel ist... Oder doch nicht?...

Ich bin recht ratlos was das alles zu bedeuten hat... Auch weiß ich nicht sicher, ob das jetzt der Fehlerlog vom Boot-Versuch mit dem neuen oder der Bootvorgang mit dem alten Kernel ist... Bin um jeden Tipp dankbar, wie gesagt, ich habe so gut wei keine Ahnung und bin seit Jahren nur Anwender
Hallo zusammen,
ich nutze seit längerem Thumbleweed und hatte bisher keine Probleme. Aber nach dem Update auf Kernel 6.3.1 friert der Bootvorgang immer ein. Mit der alten Version 6.2.12 kann ich das System starten. Wenn ich im abgesicherten Modus starte, dann bleibt das System immer bei Starting Switch Root... stehen (siehe Screenshot).
Was ich noch an Infos habe:
openSUSE Tumbleweed (64 Bit)
KDE Plasma-Version 5.27.5
Grafik-Plattform: X11
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Prozessor
AMD Radeon RX 580 Series Grafik
Ich benutze 2 Monitore mit verschiedener Auflösung, was aber bisher kein Thema war.
Leider habe ich null Ahnung welche Info noch hilfreich sein könnte, habe nur rudimäntäre Anwenderkenntnisse... Seit ich das Probem habe, kamen schon ein paar Updates, aber keines hat das Problem behoben.
