Hallo ins SUSE-Forum,
Auf meinem Desktop-Rechner habe ich grad oS11.2 mit KDE 4.3.5 mit stand von letzter Woche installiert.
Nachdem es nicht mein erster Suse-Rechner ist, war das alles eigentlich natürlich kein Problem...
Umstieg von KDE3 auf 4 war nicht so schlimm wie befürchtet und meine Freundin kann sich damit auch anfreunden.
Bislang scheitere ich allerdings daran ein Aiptek 8000UPro ans laufen zu bekommen, bzw. davon zu überzeugen, dass es keine Maus ist sondern der Stift zum zeichnen da ist.
Ich habe mal in den Untiefen von / gesucht und eigentlich doch Aiptek-Treiber gefunden ?!
in /dev/... scheint allerdings was zu fehlen und die XOrg.conf sagt auch, das es 'ne mouse ist.
Lsusb find das Tablett an USB (auch als Aiptk usw.)
In Gimp wird mir "aiptek" auch als zusätzliches Eingabegerät angeboten, ist allerdings nicht zu konfigurieren (aufgrund fehlender Schreibrechte)
Sax2 bietet ja leider auch keine Möglichkeit der Konfiguration, oder?
gaiptek von sourceforge scheitete schon bei der Suche nach KDE-Config nach 5 Zeilen oder so.
Mir gehen langsam die Ideen aus. Würde es reichen, die Xorg anzupassen mit diversen Einträgen zu "section inputdevice"?
Meine Freundin möchte das Tablett an ihrem Laptop benutzen auf dem zur Zeit noch ne 10er Suse mit KDE läuft aber eben dann auch 11.2 bekommen soll...
Vielleicht hat ja jemand das Brett am Laufen oder 'ne Idee, wie ich das hinbekommen kann...

Sax2 habe ich nochmal durchgesehen (...und durchprobiert...) keine Änderung: Mein Tablett is 'ne mouse :22:
gibt als root zwar diverse events auf der konsole aus, aber Striche macht das Ding trotzdem nicht...
Vielleicht hat ja doch noch jemand die Lösung meines Problems (eher das meiner Freundin)

OK, das wäre 'ne Möglichkeit, die aber erst mal nach hinten schieben möchte, nachdem ich mich (schweren Herzens) dazu durchgerungen habe KDE4 zu installieren... Jetzt wieder mischen?! Das habe ich jahrelang gehabt. Hat zwar alles funktioniert und irgendeinen Workaround gab es immer für etwas, aber eigentlich wollte ich mal etwas "Richtig" machen und nicht immer nur "Basteln".

dmsg, lsmod und modinfo sagen doch eigentlich aus, dass der Treiber für Aiptek Tabletts vorhanden ist, oder?
Jetzt muss das Ding doch "nur" noch mitbekommen, dass es nicht mouse1 ist, sondern event1 (2,3, oder 4).
Oder denke ich da zu einfach?

Jo, ok, bin leider auch kein Experte. Es scheint aber tatsächlich, das gaiptek nur ein Frontend zu dem schon in Kernel integrierten Treiber ist. Gut, kann man später noch ausprobieren. Übrigens ist es nicht schlimm, wenn man paar Sachen aus kde 3 oder gnome hat. Das sind nur die nötigsten Pakete, die man braucht, um die Anwendungen aus diesen Desktopumgebungen in kde 4 laufen lassen können.

verweist auf ../event6Also habe ich mir "einfach" mal 'ne neue xorg.conf gebastelt und /dev/input/aiptek mit /dev/input/event6 ersetzt.
hatte zur Folge, dass X versagte und nicht mehr wollte... also alles zurück.
Aber ich glaube, die Idee finde ich gut und werde das noch mal weiter verfolgen.

Ja, auch wenn serial dahinter steht und es ein 6000er ist. In den Einstellungen kann man den Anschluss wählen.

Hatte X-Server eine schlaue Fehlermeldung ausgegeben? Ansonsten fehlt mir grad echt nichts ein außer es weiter mit gaiptek zu versuchen.

Logo gab's 'ne Fehlermeldung...
Mit der ServerLayout-Section aus dem oberen xorg.conf-Beispiel stimmte etwas nicht...
Da ich da inkonsequent war habe ich dann tatsächlich den KDE3-Kram installiert und gaiptek lief durch, wollte aber scheinbar immer etwas im KDE3-System suchen, so z.b. den Kerneltreiber von aiptek usw.... vielleicht hätte ich configure da einen Pfad mitgeben müssen??!!
Also erstmal Tablett TAblett sein gelassen und an den Snookertisch (auch nicht mit mehr Erfolg)
Aber ich bleib am Ball und wenn ich ne funktionierende xorg hab, dann wird sie natürlich sofort gepostet....
KDE3-Sachen waren dann mit allen Abhängigkeiten doch über 400MB -
So, ServerLayout-Section kannst du deines behalten. Übrigens, wenn X nicht startet, kannst du mit "sax2 -a" ein neues xorg.conf schreiben lassen und mit "startx" Server wieder starten. Wenn du mit dieser Geschichte fertig ist, wirst du mal xorg.conf von nvidia-settings schreiben lassen sollen, mit "sax2 -a" wird ein anderes Treiber benutzt.
Was war genau die Meldung von configure, dem fehlt noch irgendwelches Paket.
