Wie fixe ich das mit den "alternatives"?
Danke erst mal für die Antworten, jetzt weiß ich wenigstens, dass bei mir was faul ist. Gelöst habe ich es allerdings noch nicht.
Wie habe ich es installiert? Schwer zu sagen, diesen Laptop verwende ich recht selten und habe vor ca. 2-3 Jahren Tumbleweed darauf installiert und in gewissen Abständen mit zypper dup aktualisiert. Qmapshack hatte ich von Anfang an drauf und ging. Dann habe ich irgendwann QGIS installiert
was ein gewisses Chaos in meinen Repositories verursachte ging dann aber auch irgendwie. Dann habe ich mal wieder nach längerer Zeit Tumbleweed aktualisiert und weder Qmapshack noch QGIS gingen mehr mit Fehlermeldungen an die ich mich nicht mehr erinnere.
Dann habe ich angefangen zu deinstallieren und die Repositories aufzuräumen und hier stehe ich jetzt:

ich habe versucht auf Tumbleweed_x86_64 Qmapshack zu installieren, es gab verschiedene Meldungen, dass Abhängigkeiten nicht erfüllt werden. können.
Letzlich finde ich hier:

Ich weiß, diese Frage ist sehr allgemein gehalten, aber vielleicht weiß ja jemand aus dem Stehgreif was mit Qmapshack los ist.
Das selbe Problem gibt's übrigens bei QGIS.

Sorry für die Verspätung, ich hatte dieses Problem für eine Weile verdrängt
Das mit cups im Browser war ein prima Tipp, danke dafür. Das kannte ich nicht.
Ich konnte Einstellungen im Browser machen die dann im HP Device Manager sichtbar waren.
Somit habe ich jetzt eine Lösung wenn sich mein Drucker mal wieder offline schaltet.

Übrigens: Zum testen drücke ich den "Reject jobs" Button da ich meinen Drucker zum Test nicht immer stoppen will.
Die Buttons auf der Printer Control page verhalten sich alle gleich problematisch.

deshalb habe ich zuerst mal die fehlenden Pakete installiert.
Ich habe jetzt mal folgendes Repository hinzugefügt:

und dann hplip upgedated;

leider ohne Veränderung.
Ich habe so das Gefühl, dass ich an einer Stelle hänge, wo eigentlich das Fenster zum eingeben der root-Berechtigung kommen müsste.
Hallo allerseits,
ich hatte gerade wieder ein Problem, das immer dann auftaucht wenn sich mein Drucker (HP Officejet Pro 276dw) offline schaltet.
Das passiert z.B. wenn man einen versehentlich gestarteten 100-Seiten-Druck am Drucker abbricht.
Dann kann ich den Drucker über hp-toolbox nicht mehr starten. Beim drücken des "Start Printer" Buttons hängt sich hp-toolbox auf.
Als Abhilfe erzeuge ich mit hp-setup eine neue Queue, die geht dann wieder solange bis sich der Drucker irgendwann mal offline schaltet ...
