Mit diesem openSUSE Rechner kann ich die IP nicht aufrufen, mit anderem schon.

Jetzt bin ich im Moment etwas überfragt. Wie funktioniert das unter openSUSE. Mit diesem Problem musste ich mich noch nie befassen.

Ich würde den eingerichteten Drucker löschen, Drucker per USB Kabel anschließen und hp-setup als root durchlaufen lassen, danach noch einmal hp-setup bei abgezogenem Usb-Kable per WLan einrichten.

Langsam fange ich an mir zu zweifeln. Ich habe die harte Variante gewählt und das System neu installiert. Den Netzwerkdrucker konnte ich sowieso nicht löschen, da er in keiner Systemeinstellung sichtbar ist, er tritt nur in Erscheinung, wenn ich ein Dokument drucke, egal ob aus Firefox oder so ein Dokument. Er druckt dann auch.

Also System neu installiert. Dann genauso verfahren wie du beschrieben hast. Erfolg gleich Null. Über USB drucken und scannen funktioniert, über Netzwerk drucken auch, aber Drucker nirgends im System sichtbar, ausser wie schon beschrieben, wenn er drucken soll. Scannen über Netzwerk Nein.

Die benutzte Hardware kann es nicht sein, der Laptop ist ein ca. 7-8 Jahre alter ASUS der Drucker ca 3-4 Jahre alt. Beides keine Exoten. Vor allem habe sich beide schon bei anderen Linux Distributionen bewährt, weil ich diesen Laptop immer zum testen benutze und den Drucker auch. Ich kann mir auch nicht vorstellen, das jeder unter openSUSE solche Probleme hat. Also muss es noch ein spezielles Problem bei mir geben, was mir absolut unbekannt ist.
