Den Test aber bitte länger laufen lassen, z.B. über Nacht.
ich hab schon mehrere Tests - auch die Benchmarks von der Puppy-Live-CD laufen lassen, Memtest auch schon gemacht und die Temperaturen passen auch - hat alles funktioniert. AMD meint, ein Prozessorproblem wäre es nicht, es liege im Linux ... gibt ja auch etliche die das Problem unter 12.3 haben (siehe google) Kernel PanicGibt es irgendwelche logfiles die vielleicht mehr verraten könnten?

Ich habe mir ein Aufrüst-System (dh. ohne Massenspeicher) gekauft und erleide in unregelmäßigen Abständen Systemabstürze. Dabei friert meistens zuerst der Bildschirm ein, zumindest reagiert er auf Mausklicks nicht mehr, auf Alt+Tab reagiert es noch kurz, doch dann kommt der Stillstand. Entweder erscheint noch eine Warnmeldung oder das System bootet gleich neu.
Bei dem System handelt es sich um einen AMD FX 6300 auf einem ASUS-Board F2A-85M-LE mit 8GB RAM.
Den RAM habe ich bereits getauscht, ebenso diverse HDDs bzw. SSDs versucht, es hat nichts geändert.
Dieselben Probleme hatte ich unter Suse 12.3, hatte die Hoffnung unter 13.1 könnte es ja besser sein ...Da ich noch relativ neu hier im Forum bin sei mir eine Frage gestattet: einen Screenshot von der Platte direkt hoch zu laden geht wohl nicht?

Da stimmt was ganz und gar nicht.
Eine Kiste mit WLAN aber ohne LAN halte ich für nicht möglich.Zumindest erscheint es mir denkbar, dass wenn das LAN aktiviert ist (Verbindung zum Router ist gesteckt) automatisch das WLAN boardseitig deaktiviert wird ... getreu dem Motto "Nichts ist unmöglich"! Allerdings will ich die Gegenprobe jetzt auch nicht machen, nicht dass wieder irgendwelche Konfigurationen/Treiber geändert werden; und ich bin ja schließlich froh dass das WLAN läuft, LAN brauch in diesem Fall nicht!

ich will es grad nicht ausprobieren, aber eigentlich bin ich mir sicher dass ich unter Win XP per LAN online war, hab ja den Router noch nicht so lange wie den Laptop!
ok ist installiert; Neustart läuft gerade!

Hier tauchte jetzt ein Kreuzchen auf, das wlan wäre hardwareseitig deaktiviert. Daraufhin hab ich das LAN-Kabel entfernt und neu gebootet! Jetzt bin ich online! Vielen Dank! Es lag also am Treiber für Lan/Wlan kombiniert? Parallel scheint es nicht zu funktionieren? Oder wie stellt es sich für Sie dar?
Auf jeden Fall vielen vielen Dank für ihre Hilfe! ich wünsche einen schönen Abend - und hab schon das nächste Problem; aber dazu dann ein neues Thema! Bildschirm friert ein und kurz danach ist Reboot; allerdings nicht am Laptop sondern am PC mit FX 6300 - von dem ich die ganze Zeit schreibe .... Schluß für heute!
